Directions to The Skye Shilasdair Shop
From the mainland
From the Skye Bridge follow the A82 to Portree. Approximately half a mile (600 metres) after the "Welcome to Portree" sign you will come to the High School on your left. Continue on the A82 taking the left fork at the triangle towards Uig and Dunvegan.
Continue out of Portree for about 5 miles (8 Kilometres) to Borve and take the left fork to Dunvegan on the A850. After about 15 miles (24 Kilometres) you will see a sign for Waternish. Take the right hand turn onto the B886 a single track road.
Continue for 4 miles (6 Kilometres) through Lusta until you reach a T junction at Stein. Turn right and follow the road for a further two miles (3 Kilometres) through Hallin, past the Geary turn off and take the left hand turn to Carnach. Follow the road down towards the shore until you see the Skye Shilasdair Shop sign. We have on site parking.
From the Western Isles
From the ferry port head towards Portree continue for about 11 miles (17 Kilometres) to Borve and take the right hand turn to Dunvegan on the A850. After about 15 miles (24 Kilometres) you will see a sign for Waternish. Take the right hand turn onto the B886 a single track road.
Continue for 4 miles (6 Kilometres) through Lusta until you reach a T junction at Stein. Opening Hours
We are open 10am - 6pm, 7 days a week, from 1st April (or Easter if earlier) until the end of October.
Winter visitors are welcome but our opening hours are shorter so please ring or e-mail to check we are around before you make the journey. We also make every effort to open up for you outside these hours to suit your arrangements.
